Because of the nature of my mood disorder (and its' effects on my thinking and the way I feel), it is best to be direct and up front with me. I have a hard time with being avoided and lied to, and in all likelihood if you aren't honest with me, I will unfollow, unfriend and or block eventually for my own sanity.

this is a private indie multimuse. private in this case means that I only interact with mutuals. during the school year, this blog will definitely be slow. outside of the school year, it could go either way.

I tend to unfollow if we've never interacted or talked ooc. I have a hard time being the first to reach out sometimes. I'm also very awkward with new people, but I do try.
important to note, if you turn up on a number of DNI's or if a callout post associated with you turns up, it's unlikely I'll continue to follow you.
lastly I unfollow if we aren't going to mesh, most often if we never interact as stated above, but also if we drop a lot of interaction (from either side) and things just don't feel good. I never unfollow because I "don't like" someone, so please don't assume that. not everyone flows well together. if you want to try again, I am open to that on a case by case basis.

I have some duplicate anxiety but I generally am duplicate friendly. Typically I resolve this by writing another character in the fandom that I am interested in so I can interact with you but if you want to do plots with the dupes, let me know!
shipping
when it comes to writing with close friends or just people I've gotten to know, I tend to ship with them a lot on just about every blog they/I make. However, when it comes to people I do not know as well, I sometimes take things a little more slowly. The more we talk, the more open I become!
if you're interested in shipping, let's talk! if our muses have good chemistry, chances are I'm down. please do not initiate shippy interaction without checking with me first. there are some cases with certain ships (i.e. Tess will probably never shy away from a Will Graham, but you never know, Evelyn will run into the arms of any Lee) where it might work out fine, I just prefer not to be cornered in to it.
there are some general hard nos when it comes to shipping. incest, abusive situations (I know that people unintentionally hurt their loved ones and that's one thing, but there's a line and it's pretty obvious, let's not cross it). I'm uncomfortable doing big age gaps with muses on either side who are super young. Typically I like to stay within approximately 5 years difference.
formatting
I am not intensely formatting savvy. I do apply small text and can not do so if you need me not to. I do cut down posts and I make a new post for asks rather than replying directly to said ask.
other
I am always ok with turning asks into threads, no need to ask! I am very patient about answers to asks, threads and messages. If it's been a while, I may reach out. If you've lost interest in something, you are safe letting me know, I won't hold that against you. I will also give you the same courtesy. Sometimes threads don't work out the way we thought but that just means we can try something else!

Killian Shoji Tanaka was born in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan on September 27th, 1977. His father, Shoji, a travel agent met his mother, Janice, when she was working as an English teacher on a Visa, and the two were married just over a year when Killian was born. They had another son, Kenji Francis Tanaka before the whole family moved to San Francisco in 1984, when Kenji was three. Killian did well in school, developed a passion for music and art young, and was encouraged to pursue them. When he was 15, his mother was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma that spread over the course of two years to her lungs and brain, despite chemo, radiation and surgeries to combat it. She died shortly before his high school graduation.
Despite the hard knock, he entered college and after initially planning to major in music, opted to major in journalism instead (with the hopes of getting to attend music and art events for free). He graduated Magna Cum Laude. A few years later, he began working for the San Francisco Chronicle, and started to take photos for a little side money shortly after. He maintained a close relationship with his brother over the years, and when the 9/11 attacks happened, Kenji felt a strong need to prove himself as an American after years of racism that the brothers endured as biracial individuals. He enlisted in the Marines and shipped out to Iraq after training. Not long after, in 2003, he was killed by an IED. It was a hard blow for Killian and especially for their father.
Killian spent a number of years focused on his work for the paper and his art; he seldom dated past a first date. Then in 2010 at a friend’s party, crossfaded on weed and liquor, he hooked up with Evelyn Zhu, a woman he met that night. The two didn’t speak again until 7 weeks later when Evelyn got in touch to tell him she was pregnant and planned to have an abortion. Despite knowing he shouldn’t, Killian begged her to have the baby, promising that he would raise it on his own without her assistance. They did just that, and Kenji Jacob Tanaka was born July 11th, 2011. He’s been raising the boy on his own, true to his word. The two are very close, in fact, inseparable. Killian is still very passionate about art and music and still takes photos for himself and for money.

Tesla Rose was born February 21st, 1986, the second child and only daughter of Henry and his wife, Myriam. At the time, their marriage had been unsteady for several years already, and she brought with her a brief period of harmony. It wasn’t very long before things turned rocky again, and when Tess was 7, Myriam moved out and back to Israel without any warning. Henry raised Tess with the help of his then 17 year old son Josh, on his southern California cattle ranch. She excelled in school and from the age of 8 all the way through college, she took dance lessons and competed with her dance company.
She attended Georgetown, moving across the country to complete her bachelors in Justice and Peace studies, and also completed her Juris Doctor there in criminal law. While in the undergrad program, she met Jason Engle, who had just completed his law degree and was working for the D.C. police. The two dated all through her Juris Doctor and in 2010, Tess found out she was pregnant a year before she was due to graduate. They opted to give the baby up for adoption, something she has regretted to some extent since. The adoption was open, and Tess is in fairly regular contact with his parents, who named him Calvin.
After graduating law school and applying to the FBI academy at Quantico, Jason and Tess were married in 2012. However three years later, when he became abusive and controlling, she ended up getting away from him and filing for divorce. She’s been focusing on work ever since, primarily in the D.C. area, but occasionally helping out at various field offices. She goes home to visit Henry and Josh whenever she can, even if work is involved, the ranch is her escape from work and life when she needs it.
